Announcements

Saturday, February 15 -
Valentine's Fellowship Supper and Love Songs Concert- Saturday, February 15.  Bethany choir members are busy practicing their favorite love songs for your listening pleasure.  The 5:00 concert in the Chapel will be followed by supper in Fellowship Hall.  The supper is a thank you from the San Antonio Grande committee for the caring and generosity of the Bethany community.
There is no charge, though contributions toward the cost of the food will be appreciated.  Let's get together to do what we do so well--enjoy food, music, and each others' company!

The food of the month  Focus food in  February for the Montpelier Food Pantry is  Fruit. Canned, boxed or dried.

Bethany's Annual Spring Auction is coming. We will need items to sell, but we also need an audience. The more, the merrier! Please save the morning of April 5 and spread the word to friends and neighbors. We don't intend that the donors will also be the buyers, so it's important to reach beyond the Bethany community to find the market for the antiques, uniques, and useful items that will be up for bid. It's even fun just to watch, so plan to attend.

Sunday we will be having a
Moment for Mission visit- from Bernie Chenette and Trista Bean from the Good Samaritan Haven. Bernie is a long-time shelter volunteer and Chair of the Board of Directors. Trista is the Food Service Coordinator. They have been invited by the Outreach Board to tell us a bit about the shelter and what we might do to help the folks who live there.

Save-the-Date from Stewardship Committee. May 3, 2014 at 5:30PM will be a Pot Luck Dinner. More information to come…..Joanne Hardy, Chair- Art Farnum.

On Tuesday afternoons from 3:15- 4:45 pm, youth in grades 6-12 are invited to join the Nifty Knitters!  Nifty Knitters is a way to save the world by knitting - anti-bullying scarves, wool hats for kids in Afghanistan, and prayer shawls! From the Trustees

At their meeting in January, the Trustees voted, at the request of the Christian Education Board, to remove three pews from the rear of the sanctuary. Additional space is needed on the parking lot side of the building to maneuver wheelchairs and scooters out of the elevator. The space created on the street side of the sanctuary will be used as flexible seating for families with children. This change will take place in the next couple of weeks. Please let the Trustees know what you think about this new arrangement!

Wax Off - Wax On
2-3 PEOPLE STILL NEEDED!
On Feb 8th-(Sat.) @ 8:00 am The Property Board will gather to sweep, wash and wax the floor in Fellowship Hall. They would appreciate the help of three or four more people in this endeavor. If 8:00 am is too early, nine or ten is not too late as those who have been here will need a break. This effort will take about 3 or 4 hours depending on the number of helpers. Please call Gary Rogers @ 229-9893 if you can help.

Second Sunday Concert
THIS Sunday, February 9th The Music Board Presents "The Olabelles." A harmony singing choir led by Katie Trautz.
