NEW YEAR'S EVE @ BETHANY
On New Year's Eve, Bethany Church will host an evening of family fun, fine food and world-class live entertainment, with 100 percent of the money raised going to support the ongoing mission and outreach of Bethany Church in Montpelier.
The events are designed to celebrate Bethany's role in the wider Montpelier community, as a meeting place and a place of outreach. Each month, Bethany Church opens its doors to dozens of local twelve-step and self-help groups, community choirs and music events. And each week the church's Bethany Bowl serves over 100 free hot meals to those in need.
Local artists and professionals have stepped up to make this night possible, from world-class musicians to a professional chef.
Tickets for the concert and/or dinner will be available at the door. Tickets also can be purchased in advance
New Year's Eve
Children's activities begin New Year's Eve with a free activity from 3-4:30 pm - children and their families can warm up in the church's chapel and make hats and noisemakers to ring in the new year.
A delicious Italian buffet dinner follows from 5-6:30 pm, prepared by local Chef Bob Hildebrand, with dinner music provided by Arthur Zorn. The Italian-themed meal is all about comfort food - warm, rich flavors that will beat back the chills of a December night. And it is buffet style to keep it family friendly and cozy. The meal costs $15 for adults, $10 for children.
A Concert caps the evening. A two-hour live acoustic concert featuring Vermont's own Spencer Lewis, Mark LeGrand & Sarah Munro, Lizzy Mandell, and Lilly & Nancy Smith. All are performing without a fee for the community benefit event. Concert tickets are $20 per person.
