Something Old
Something New
with San Antonio Grande El Salvador

San Antonio Grande Annual Campaign-During the month of December, we offer
you three ways to participate in the fundraising campaign for our San Antonio Grande, El Salvador sister parish ministry.
1.  You may use the donation envelopes found in the pews or bulletins.
2.  Bethany's Outreach Board invites your donations for cards to give as gifts:  "A monetary gift has been given in your name to the scholarship and community development fund for the village of San Antonio Grande, El Salvador . .  ."
3. For a donation, you may also obtain stars to place on the narthex Christmas tree in honor or memory of someone special.
In 2014, our San Antonio Grande funds
will be used to help pay high school and college education expenses for some of San Antonio Grande's young people, as well as a community development sewing project for dozens of adults.

If you would like a glimpse of the sewing project, here is a video from El Salvador

"We talk about the New Year as if it can make all things new. Make us new. Give us a fresh start. Leave the old behind.  We can reset our life direction with New Year's resolutions and that will be a solution.

But we have that right here in our church. Every Sunday. ANY day, really. Every day. And better than forgetting the past, because we can not - not really, here we have the past forgiven. It now longer has the power to bum us out, drag us down, or control what we will do. Here we can say that we want that old bit of our life to go away and that we want to start a life that we know is better. Not once a year, but in any hour we know we want to travel a different path.

Here, in this church anyway, we are not a person with a New Year's resolution tacked on to our life. We are a new person, a new creation. Fresh and clean and ready for Holy Work."
