Bethany Bowl- November 27, 2012 Fed:130 Head Cook: Judi Joy and her friend Erica. Dishwashers: Gary Rogers and Conrad Rowell Helpers: Phyllis Rowell, Darlene Colby, Judy Cookson, Chris Terry, Anne DeVaughn, Pete Gomez and Abby from NECI. The menu was Mulligatawny soup from NECI (basically chicken with vegetables and curry), baked ziti, and a left over NECI pork chili to which Judi added rice and baked, green salad, bread and butter from Manghis, assorted desserts and beverages. Little miracles happen at the Bowl quite frequently. On Tuesday a class of third graders from UES came to wash and set up the tables. Just before they left one of the little girls handed Phyllis $5.00 which she quietly said was "for the people". Angels are everywhere even in the third grade.
Community Carol Sing The 42nd Community Carol Sing takes place on Sunday, December 9, 6:30 p.m. at Christ Church Episcopal. This event provides a wonderful opportunity for the choirs of Montpelier as well as the larger community, to join in celebration of the start of the Christmas season.
