The Brown Bag Study Group has moved its Thursday meetings to Westview Meadows! They gather in the Country Kitchen at Westview Meadows at 11:30 am. Please bring a bag lunch. They are currently reading Joan Chittister's The Gift of Years.
Thanksgiving Turkeys- The Youth Service Bureau has a large number of turkeys that need to be cooked for their annual thanksgiving Dinner @ Bethany Church. The turkey need to be cooked the night before or the morning of the dinner. If you would like to volunteer to cook a turkey please call The Youth Service Bureau @ 229-9151
Advent is coming! We are looking for families or groups that would be interested in lighting the Advent candles in the Advent wreath on the Sundays in Advent. Speak to Amy Pitton if you are interested.

Bethany Bowl- November 6, 2012 Fed:100 head cook: Phyllis Rowell with lots of help from Micah and Shelby, two NECI second year students. Dishwashers: Gary Rogers and Conrad Rowell. Helpers: Meri Neilsen, Chris Terry, Anne DeVaughn and Pete Gomez. The menu was Manhattan Clam Chowder from NECI, beef stew, hubbard squash from John and Donna Hall, cranberry sauce and assorted desserts.
"Night Thoughts" -Vermont native Adam Tendler will perform a meditative piano recital of modern American music on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 5 pm . Tendler will perform works by Aaron Copland, Charles Ives, Samuel Barber, John Adams, David Lang, Anthony Porter, and a sixteen-movement suite by Ned Rorem. Tendler will also present a short work of his own and a set of pieces by John Cage. Presented through the Bethany Church Center for the Arts Series, Tendler will donate all personal proceeds to Vermont Cares, an AIDS prevention, advocacy, and support organization that serves twelve of Vermont’s fourteen counties.
