If you would like to have your announcement printed in next week's bulletin, please have it into the office by 9:00 am Thursday morning.

Announcements- posted on Mondays at 9:00am. www.bethanychurchvt.org

We are collecting Food- for the Montpelier Food Pantry on the last Sunday of the month. Each month the Outreach Board focuses on collecting one type of food (as per request of the pantry). For April they are asking for cereal. Dried, instant, hot!

The Auction will be on April 21. Please plan to bring your donation(s) Monday through Thursday of the week before (April 16-19). Note: no items can be accepted on Friday that week because the list must be complete by then. Also, you may volunteer in other ways by signing up on the bulletin board by the Chapel.

The Nominating Committee- will soon be filling vacancies on boards and committees for next year. If you have a special interest in serving, there are many opportunities. Please talk with the Nominating Committee to find out where help will be needed. The Committee is Phyllis Rowell, Jane Staudt, and Joanne Blakeman.

Basic Spanish Class- Monday's at 6:00 pm. and will go through mid May. $5.00 per class and you can pay as you go. For more information please email Betsy Parah at bafmcgee@aol.com

Brown Bag A new study will start on April 12. If you have always thought about checking Brown Bag, NOW is the time. They will be using Walter Bruggeman's book, "Embracing the Prophets in contemporary Culture”. This six week study uses a DVD to explore: what was the prophet's message in their day? What is their message for today? Who are today's prophetic voices? How has the church been co-opted by culture? What is our role in bringing God's perspective to today's society? Brown Bag meets every Thursday from 11:45-1:30 in the Parlor. Bring a lunch and an inquiring mind.

Bethany Bowl- April 3, 2012 Fed: 95 Head Cook: Phyllis Rowell Dishwasher: Conrad Rowell. Volunteers: Phyllis Rowell, Darlene Colby, Pat Seivwright, Chris Terry, Anne DeVaughn, Pete Gomez, Zack and Bruce from Barre City Elementary, Chloe Gordon from MHS. We served two different soups, three choices of sandwiches (Sue Day makes awesome egg salad sandwiches), tossed green salad, potato chips, desserts and beverages.

By our willingness- to follow the teachings of Jesus (feed the hungry, visit the sick, comfort those in need) we prove that the members of Bethany Church’s congregation are truly a group of “Easter People”. The next dinner for the Good Samaritan Haven is rapidly approaching on April 22nd. The sign-up sheet is mostly empty and awaiting your offer to prepare parts of the meal. As always your help is greatly appreciated!

Bethany Cup-Next Sunday! 8:30-9:30 am in the Parlor. Warm muffins and hot coffee, outmeal and yogurt parfaits.! Come support the youth group.
