Sunday School today - Grades K-3 will meet in the Blue Door Room, Grades 4-8 in the chapel.

We are collecting Food- for the Montpelier Food Pantry on the last Sunday of the month. Each month the Outreach Board focuses on collecting one type of food (as per request of the pantry). People may give any type of food, it too will be collected and blessed and sent. For the month of November our focus food will be pasta. Spaghetti, elbows, egg noodles, shells etc.


Gobble Wobble Turkey Trot 5k run-walk! Thanksgiving morning, November 24 at 9:30 am! Meet at the corner of Sunset and Phelps Road in Barre Town. Bring a non-perishable food donation. Registration is $8, $25 for a family of 4 or more. For registration, email Nancy Fowler at fowler5vt@myfairpoint.net. Proceeds to support the Barre Congregational Church.

The Flower Committee places flowers on the altar every Sunday. You are invited to place flowers on the altar in memory of a loved one, or to celebrate a special event, perhaps a birthday, anniversary or new baby. Flowers may be ordered from the florist to be delivered to the church by Friday noon or loose flowers may be arranged by you or a member of the flower committee. Call Esther Farnsworth (225-6006) to reserve a date.

Second Sunday Concert - November 13th featuring Denise Ricker and Arthur Zorn. 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

Good Samaritan Haven Dinner- The date of the next dinner for Good Samaritan Haven homeless shelter is Sunday, November 27th The number of people at the shelter is unusually large so many people are needed to pitch in and prepare the meal. Please help the Outreach Board continue this ministry. The sign-up sheet can be found on the Outreach section of the bulletin board or on the table in the Parlor during Hospitality. Remember that your giving doesn’t stop when you deliver the food to Bethany for the blessing. By your gift you are truly following the Gospel’s call to feed the hungry and to welcome the stranger.
