The Nominating Committee- is finding willing volunteers for vacancies on boards and committees and we thank all who have agreed to serve. There are still some holes to fill: Christian Education, Deacons, Outreach, Property, Finance, and Stewardship. Please consider giving one evening a month to help make decisions with one of these groups. If evening meetings are out of the question, there are a few other places where your help would be welcome. Speak with Phyllis Rowell (472-4277) or Joanne Blakeman (223-2097) or any current member of a board that appeals to you. Annual Meeting is in June and new terms begin on July 1.

Food for the Montpelier Food Pantry Each month the Outreach Board focuses on collecting one type of food (as per request of the pantry). People may give any type of food, it too will be collected and blessed and sent. For the month of May our focus food is tuna fish.

Sermon Series - We are at the end of a sermon series that reflects a reformation of the church that responds to some people's desire to focus on some elements of early Christianity that have been overwhelmed by society and culture. We are using the book Saving Jesus from the Church by Rev. Robin Meyers. Today is the last sermon in the series.

Announcements- posted on the website Mondays at 9:00am.

Blooms into Spring- Show and sale of new paintings by Montpelier artist, Arthur Zorn at The Skinny Pancake, 89 Main St, City Center complex in Montpelier VT. March 30th through May 30th. Bright acrylic "representational" abstract impressions of flowers and more. For further information call (802)229-4431 or visit

Bethany Bowl- April 26, 2011: Fed 86: HEAD COOK: Joanne Hardy who surprised herself by having the meal ready an hour before the guests arrived. Dishwashers: the team of Anita and Gary Rogers. Volunteers: Darlene Colby, Chris Terry, Anne DeVaughn, Corky and Meri Nielsen, Phyllis Rowell, Pete Gomez, 2 MHS students and 2 classes from Union School who came early to wash and set tables and created great spring cards to decorate the tables.

Second Sunday Concert-Next Sunday at 9:30 am in the Chapel. Featuring Amy Papineau, Kathy Cowens and Theresa Lever in what promises to be a spirited and uplifting performance. Zach Weinhert will accompany them on guitar on some of the music.

Montpelier Food Pantry Each year, postal patrons leave food donations in their mailboxes which carriers collect and bring to local food shelves around the country. This is an especially important project for the Montpelier Food Pantry as it supplies much-needed food items during a slow time of year.
We are looking for 18 volunteers who are available on Saturday, May 14th, 3:00-5:30 pm, at the Food Pantry, 137 Main Street, Montpelier. Volunteers will accept & separate donations. This is a perfect activity for both families and individuals. Please call Kimberley at 595-9145 or if you can help. Don't forget to donate!!!

Next Sunday is Christian Education Sunday at Bethany Church! Come celebrate with the Sunday School Students as they lead us in worship and celebrate God's abundance!
