Bethany's Spring Auction! -Saturday, April 30th! This is a new fundraiser for Bethany Church, as well as an opportunity for us to work and have fun together! We will need lots of help to make the auction a success! There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the hallway - please sign up to help in any way that you can - lots of types of jobs are available for all abilities!

Sermon Series - We are in the midst of a sermon series that goes through Lent and extends into the the first 2 Sundays of Easter. The series reflects a reformation of the church that responds to some people's desire to focus on some elements of early Christianity that have been overwhelmed by society and culture. As a jumping off point we are using the book Saving Jesus from the Church by Rev. Robin Meyers. The chapter titles in the order we will use them on Sundays are listed in the Dialogue and on the website. The sermon on April 10 will be based on Chapter 10 - Religion as Relationship, not Righteousness

When dusting your dust collectors, think about donating to the Bethany Spring Auction. We will be receiving donated items at the church beginning the afternoon of Monday, April 25th through Thursday, April 28th. Item pickup will be available. We will accept antiques, furniture, collectibles, china, crystal, tools, artwork, unused wedding presents that are lurking in your closets, and other unique items in good, clean condition. Please – no TV's, computers, clothing, or mattresses.

The announcements will be posted to the web site on Monday mornings at 9:00am.

Lenten Book Study - In Lent we will study a book written by Brian McLaren, “Naked Spirituality: A Life with God in 12 Simple Words” to deepen our faith. We will look at his four-stage framework for understanding the spiritual life. We will meet on Tuesday evening April 5. There are a couple extra copies of the book available if you would like to join this study. Please see Rev. Mark.
